How I ended up doing only technical SEO
I started as a WordPress developer building and rebuilding sites for small businesses. The same conversation kept happening after launch: the site looks great, so why isn't it getting traffic? Every time I dug in, the answer wasn't the design or even the content. It was technical. Pages Google never indexed. Crawl budget wasted on tag archives. Schema that didn't validate. Redirect chains left over from the last three redesigns.
So that became the job. Today I work exclusively on the technical layer of WordPress SEO: crawlability, indexing, schema markup, site migrations, and Core Web Vitals, plus the newest layer, making sites citable by AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews. My speed work lives on its own dedicated site, WordPress Speed Optimization Expert, and the two practices feed each other daily.
Clients usually find me in one of two moments: quiet panic, when Search Console fills with errors or a redesign tanks their traffic, or quiet frustration, when they've paid an agency for months and can't point to a single thing that changed. Either way, the first step is the same. We'll look at the actual data from your actual site, and I'll tell you honestly what's broken and what it'll take to fix.
Four rules every engagement follows
Diagnose before you touch anything
Most SEO work fails because it doesn't start with findings. Every engagement I take starts with a crawl and your Search Console data.
Fix the foundation first
Content and links can't rank a site Google can't crawl, index, or understand. The technical layer comes first because everything else sits on it.
No guarantees, real measurements
Anyone who's promising a #1 ranking is lying to you. What I promise is named deliverables, safe changes, and a before-and-after report that shows exactly what moved.
One accountable person
You'll work with me directly. No account managers, no juniors learning on your site, no handoffs where context dies.
Results I can put my name on
Three real outcomes from real client work. Yours will depend on your site and your market, and that's why everything starts with an audit, not a promise.
A client's site loaded in 8.3 seconds on mobile. After a technical and speed cleanup it's at 1.7 seconds and passes Core Web Vitals.
A med spa's booking volume nearly tripled after I fixed its indexing problems and rebuilt its local schema.
One technical fix sprint took a site from ranking for 3 keywords to 27, with no new content written.
The tools I actually work with
WordPress & WooCommerce
The platform I work on exclusively. I know where it hides duplicate content, where builders slow it down, and where plugins leave schema errors.
Google Search Console
It's the first thing I ask access to. Real crawl and index data beats any third-party tool's guess about your site.
RankMath
My SEO plugin of choice when a plugin is the right tool, configured properly instead of left on defaults.
Screaming Frog & site crawlers
Full-site crawls that surface orphan pages, redirect chains, canonical conflicts, and index bloat.
PageSpeed Insights & CrUX
Real-user Core Web Vitals data, not lab-only numbers, for the speed layer of every audit.
Schema.org JSON-LD
Hand-coded, connected structured data graphs that validate clean and feed both rich results and AI answers.
