Chiropractic SEO on WordPress
Chiropractic SEO is the work that gets a clinic's site found when patients search a discipline, a condition or who's paying, in their own town. I do it on Alberta WordPress sites, and physiotherapy SEO for the same clinics. In 24 of 31 towns I measured, #1 isn't the most-reviewed clinic, so I work on what decides those packs: pages both colleges allow.

Why is the most-reviewed clinic often not first?
On 8 September 2026 I measured Google's map pack in 31 Alberta towns, chiro and physio as one vertical. The typical #1 clinic has 97 reviews; in Calgary's map packs it's 723.
Yet in 24 towns, #1 isn't the most-reviewed clinic in its own pack. In Stony Plain it had 20 reviews against 675.
Google says local results rest mainly on relevance, distance and popularity. Your site moves relevance, the part local SEO works on: what you treat and who you direct-bill.
What do Alberta patients type before they book?
Patients search a discipline, a condition or who's paying. Each needs its own page. Keywords Everywhere, Canada, 26 September 2026.
Physio out-searches chiro
Chiropractor calgary gets 5,400, so chiro-first titles on a mixed clinic aim at the smaller pool.
Condition pages
Sports physio calgary adds 320. Describe the care, never promise the outcome: neither college allows that.
Payer pages
Direct billing physiotherapy gets 170. Say plainly which claims you take.
Which of these does your site answer?
Send me the URL and I'll list what's there and what's missing.
What does chiropractic SEO fix on a clinic's WordPress site?
What each fixed-scope service covers on a mixed clinic's site.
How does chiropractic SEO work when the booking's off-site?
Google Business Profile, then the Book button
Four profile steps: the primary category for the discipline most visits are, as few categories as Google's guidelines allow, hours identical to the site's, and each service listed. Then the booking. Clinic software like Jane books on its own site, so GA4 won't see the appointment unless it's set up to. I track each Book click against your new-patient report.
A page per discipline, condition and payer
Physio out-searches chiro: "physiotherapy edmonton" draws 6,600 searches a month against 5,400 for "chiropractor edmonton". Pelvic floor, sports and WCB pages each answer their own search, and payer pages say plainly which claims you take. People phone about direct billing and car accident claims before booking, and a footer line won't rank.
Reviews asked for inside both colleges' rules
Ask every patient the same way, by email after the visit with Google's review link. No discount or free visit in return and no asking only the happy ones: Google's policy bars both. Chiropractors answer to the CCOA and physiotherapists to the CPTA, and the CPTA makes the physio approve third-party copy, so every request and reply I write is meant to pass both.
There's no chiropractic type
schema.org lists Physiotherapy under MedicalBusiness, but there's no chiropractic type. A mixed clinic gets one MedicalClinic, with disciplines as departments and practitioners as Person. Google says AI Overviews need no special optimization, so conditions, direct billing and hours go in plain text.
What does each college let your clinic's site say?
My plain reading of the CCOA Standards of Practice, the CPTA advertising standard and its 10 examples (July 2026). It isn't legal advice.
Where the colleges differ
- Promotions: the CCOA allows them online with "eligibility clearly defined". The CPTA bars coupons and time-limited pricing
- Free assessments: the CPTA calls them bait and switch
- Specialist: a physio needs Clinical Specialist authorization, and CCOA SP 1.3 limits the title for chiropractors too
Built into every page I write
- Claims that are "truthful and factual in all respects" (CCOA SP 1.1)
- No best or #1 titles: the CCOA bars superiority claims
- No review incentives (Google's policy), and staff reviews disclosed (Competition Bureau)

My nearest is an ABA therapy practice, not a chiro or physio clinic, shown for its location pages.

Book a call on UpworkIn which eleven towns can a clinic still move up the pack?
Drumheller and Whitecourt are wide open: their packs top out at 24 and 5 reviews. Central Alberta's median #1 clinic has just 27.

Chiropractic and physio SEO questions, answered
What are the best SEO keywords for chiropractors?
Patient phrases, from Keywords Everywhere, Canada, September 2026. Near me: physiotherapy near me 110,000 a month, chiropractor near me 60,500. Discipline plus town: physiotherapy calgary 6,600, physiotherapy edmonton 6,600, chiropractor calgary 5,400, chiropractor edmonton 5,400. Condition: pelvic floor physiotherapy calgary 880, sports physio calgary 320, sports chiropractor calgary 70. Payer: wcb physiotherapy 210, direct billing physiotherapy 170. Each group's a page type, not one page.
How do I get more chiropractic patients from Google?
Relevance first: the right Business Profile category, condition pages and practitioner pages. Then track the Book button, so you'll know which page worked.
How long does chiropractic SEO take?
A changed page needs a recrawl, and Google says crawling can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. I check condition and payer pages in Search Console first; the pack's a separate, longer question. No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google, so I won't promise you a date.
How much does chiropractic SEO cost?
Fixed, and listed above: US$149 for the audit, US$999 with fixes, or US$299 or US$750 a month. Keywords Everywhere shows zero searches for this question, so I won't quote an average.
Is physiotherapy SEO different from chiropractic SEO?
The technical work's the same; the wording isn't. Physio out-searches chiro in Calgary and Edmonton (my technical SEO in Edmonton page has that city's packs), and the CPTA calls a free assessment bait and switch, so physio pages get their own titles.
Should each practitioner have their own Business Profile?
It depends who works there. Google's guideline: a solo practitioner at a branded location shares one profile, brand plus name. With several at one location, each profile carries only the practitioner's name.
