WordPress SEO by industry

A dentist's site and a roofer's don't break the same way, and their map packs aren't the same fight, so dentist SEO on WordPress starts somewhere different. Each industry page starts from that vertical's Google map pack, measured in 31 Alberta towns, then shows the searches a WordPress site can still win.

Where each industry's map pack stands in Alberta

Grades come from the same study as the town pages: mature means the pack's top listings are deep in reviews, and contested, top heavy or wide open means it isn't. Every vertical in the menu has its own page now, so each card links to it.

// questions - industry pages

Industry SEO questions, answered

Do you only work with these industries?

No. These are the verticals I've measured across Alberta, so their pages can show real numbers. If your business isn't listed but your site runs on WordPress, the audit and fixes work the same way, and I'll tell you on the call what's different about your market.

Where do the map pack numbers come from?

From Google's local pack for each vertical in 31 Alberta towns, pulled on 8 September 2026. I keep the review counts and grades and drop the business names, because a page about your industry shouldn't be about someone else's company.

Can you get my business into the map pack?

Partly, and I won't pretend otherwise. Your Google Business Profile and your reviews carry a lot of it. What I fix is the website side, plus the organic searches around the pack, which is where a newer business usually wins first. I've written up what moves a listing up in Google Maps and the local SEO checklist I run, and the rest of the local SEO posts sit beside them.

Is this remote, and how do I start?

It's all remote, on Mountain Time, over Zoom, Google Meet and messages. You book a call on Upwork, send the URL, and you'll get a scope and a fixed price before any work starts.

Don't see your industry? Ask anyway.

If it's a WordPress site, I can read it: I'm a technical SEO consultant for WordPress first, and the industry only changes the searches. Send me the URL on Upwork and you'll get an honest answer on what's holding it back, what I'd fix first, and what it'd cost.
