St. Albert SEO services for small business websites

Your competitors aren't better. Their sites are. I'm Muhammad Younus. I do St. Albert SEO remotely, local and technical, on WordPress and WooCommerce. I find what's stopping your site getting found, tell you what it's costing, then fix it myself. Audits from US$149, fixes from US$999, booked on Upwork.

How St. Albert SEO works, in three steps

Every St. Albert project runs the same way, and it starts with what's actually wrong with your site rather than with a monthly package. You see the evidence at each step, in your own accounts.

01

Audit

Read-only Search Console and a full crawl. You get every issue ranked by what it's costing you, with the screenshot behind each one. Nothing on your site changes yet.

02

Fix

I make the changes on WordPress myself: the pages Google won't index, slow templates, schema, internal links, and service pages that match your Business Profile.

03

Verify

Four to eight weeks later we read Search Console and GA4 together, against the weeks before. If a fix did nothing, I'll say so.

The full process has the detail, from the first call to the handover.

// what waiting costs

What is bad technical SEO costing your St. Albert business?

Do the arithmetic with your own numbers. This is an example of the maths, not a forecast. For scale: across the 29 St. Albert categories I measured, the most-reviewed listing in each pack averaged 816 reviews, and in 5 categories the first listing Google showed had fewer than twenty.

// a trade job
Your average job$1,200
Extra jobs a month2
Over twelve months$28,800
// a clinic or practice
Value of a new patient$800
Extra patients a month3
Over twelve months$28,800
// a store
Average order$140
Extra orders a month20
Over twelve months$33,600

Put your own job value in. If one extra job a month doesn't cover the package, don't book. I'd rather you keep the money.

// consultant or agency

Should you hire a consultant or an agency for St. Albert SEO?

When I pulled the top ten for "st. albert seo" on 27 September 2026, searched from St. Albert, 7 were pages from SEO, marketing or web design providers, and all of them named St. Albert in the title, main heading or address. So this is a real choice here, not a rhetorical one.

// a typical agency retainer

What you usually get

  • A senior name on the sales call, a junior on the work
  • A monthly retainer whether anything needs doing or not
  • Reports full of scores, rankings and impression charts
  • Three people between you and whoever edits the site
  • Tools and plugins that stay theirs if you leave
// what this is

What you get here

  • The person who finds the problem is the one who fixes it
  • A fixed scope for the work that's actually needed
  • Findings tied to your own Search Console, or they don't ship
  • You message me directly, and get an answer inside a business day
  • Everything handed over, and you own all of it
// the places you really cover

SEO for the areas you actually serve

Most advice about service area pages was written for a city the size of Calgary, where the quadrant you work in really does decide who calls you. If most of your work is really in Calgary, start with SEO services in Calgary. St. Albert is a different problem. Here the question is rarely which part of town to write a page for. It's which of the places around you you'd actually drive to on a Tuesday.

// when an area page earns its place

Worth building

  • You actually work there and would take the job tomorrow
  • There's something true and specific to say: the drive time, whether you charge a call-out past the town limits, the sort of housing stock, a job you've done there
  • People actually search for that service with that place attached
  • The page can stand on its own without the place name doing all the work
// when it's a doorway page

Not worth building

  • The same page with the place name swapped, twenty times over
  • Towns you'd quietly decline if the phone rang on a Friday afternoon
  • Communities listed for keyword coverage, with nothing behind them
  • A neighbouring town page that repeats what the service page already said

The test is simple: if a page would still read true with another town's name dropped into it, it isn't earning its place. From St. Albert, that usually means Edmonton, Morinville and Sturgeon County, and anywhere else you'd really cross a town line for. Start with the places that carry the work. Add more only when there's something new to say.

// who this is built for in st. albert

Which St. Albert businesses does this work for?

Local service businesses and stores on WordPress, where a call or a form is the goal. These are the trades I checked in the St. Albert pack study. It's the market, not a guess.

Plenty of businesses here, one of me. So I don't cold call. I built this page instead: the tool, the numbers and the prices in one place, for the owner already looking. Your competitor can read it too.

Every one of the 29 trades I checked is in the St. Albert pack table below, with its top count, its median and its grade.

// "seo consultant near me"

Searching for an SEO expert near you in St. Albert?

St. Albert owners search for an SEO consultant near me, an SEO expert near me, an SEO specialist near me. Then they hire the closest office. Here's what nobody says: Google doesn't rank you on your consultant's postcode.

// what proximity gets you

What a local office doesn't change

  • Your Local Pack visibility, where relevance, distance and prominence all count
  • Whether Google can index your service pages
  • How fast your site loads on a customer's phone
  • What your schema says about your business
// what actually decides it

What you should ask instead

  • Can they show you client figures with dates, not testimonials alone
  • Do they work on WordPress every day, or once a quarter
  • Will one person do the work, or will it go to a junior
  • Is the scope fixed and the money protected before you pay

Everything here runs over Zoom, Google Meet or messages, on Mountain Time, and you watch the same Search Console I do. If you'd rather have someone in the room, hire locally. I'd rather tell you that than pretend an office in St. Albert would change your rankings.

// the rest of it, once, on its own page

Everything else about the work, written once and kept current

This page is about St. Albert. The parts that are the same wherever you are live on their own pages, so there's one version of each and it stays up to date.

// the st. albert market, read from its own numbers

What does the St. Albert map pack actually look like?

St. Albert's a strong market. Nineteen packs are mature and none are wide open. Dental leads, with a median of 402 reviews and a most-reviewed listing on 721. Security, painting and IT are top-heavy, each carried by one business.

Flooring is the softest, with its best listing on 33 reviews. The "st. albert seo" results on 27 September held seven agency pages, two of them short question pages from one firm, plus a jobs page, a Facebook page and a music school's page for someone named Albert Seo.

// dentists, the hardest pack
402

That's the median review count in the St. Albert dentists pack, and the most-reviewed listing there has 721. You won't out-review that quickly, and I'd be wary of anyone who says you can.

Security and alarms, Painters, IT and managed services. One business leads each of these and the listings behind it are thin, so second and third place are the realistic target.

Searched as each service followed by "St. Albert" in Google's local results. For each vertical: the most reviews any listing in the pack had, the median, and the grade that follows from them. Review counts change daily, so treat these as a snapshot from 8 September 2026.

Searched as each service followed by "St. Albert" in Google's local results, 8 September 2026. Top count is the most reviews any listing in that pack held. Mature means a median of 60 reviews or more. Wide open means nobody has 25. Top-heavy means one listing has 100 or more while the median is under 20. Mature, contested, wide open and top-heavy are my study labels, not Google classifications. No business is named here, on purpose.

// st. albert questions

Before you book a St. Albert SEO consultant

Is St. Albert easier to rank in than Edmonton?

A little, not a lot. Nineteen of its 29 packs are mature, against all 28 I checked in Edmonton. The top-heavy packs are the ones where a better site makes the clearest difference.

How much does SEO cost in St. Albert?

It depends on what's broken, not the postcode, so I don't publish a local rate. Three things set the price: how many pages need work, whether the problems sit in the templates, where one fix repairs every page, or page by page, and how settled your pack is. 19 of the 29 St. Albert packs I measured are already settled, and those take longer than the 7 still contested. You'll get a fixed scope on Upwork after a short call.

How long does SEO take for a St. Albert business?

Plan on four to eight weeks before judging any single fix, because Google has to recrawl and re-rank the pages first. Indexing and speed fixes usually show in Search Console before anything else. The map pack moves slower: in a pack like dentists, where the median listing holds 402 reviews, reviews and distance still decide a lot of it. Anyone promising faster is guessing.

What does St. Albert SEO from me include?

A technical SEO audit first: indexing, speed on phones, schema, internal links, and whether your service and area pages match your Business Profile. Then I make the fixes on WordPress myself and re-measure in Search Console after four to eight weeks. Reviews, link building, ads and weekly profile posts aren't part of it.

How do you measure whether it worked?

In your own accounts. Search Console shows the clicks and the queries behind them for the pages we changed, and GA4 counts calls and form fills where tracking's set up. We compare them with the weeks before the work, on a date we agree before anything starts, and I'll tell you plainly if a change did nothing.

Do reviews affect St. Albert rankings?

In the map pack, yes. Google's own help page says: "More reviews and positive ratings can help your business’s local ranking." Across the 29 St. Albert packs I checked, the most-reviewed listing in each averaged 816 reviews. I don't write, buy or manage reviews. I make sure the site behind your profile gives Google a clear page for every service, which is the part reviews can't do.

Should I have separate St. Albert and Edmonton pages?

Yes, if you really work in both. They're different markets: 19 of 29 St. Albert packs are mature, against all 28 I checked in Edmonton. Each page should carry its own detail, such as the jobs you do there, rather than the same text with the city swapped.

Do you meet St. Albert clients in person?

No. Everything runs over Zoom, Google Meet or messages, on Mountain Time, and you see the same Search Console I do. Of the ten results I pulled for "st. albert seo", 9 were about St. Albert, and Google ranked them on what those pages say and how well they work, not on where anyone's office is.
